Bio
Liana Christin Landivar is the Director for Equity Research & Analytics at the University of California, San Diego. Formerly, she served as a senior researcher and senior statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor, and National Science Foundation. She studies inequality in the workplace and family life. Dr. Landivar’s work is published in Demography, Journal of Marriage and Family, Gender & Society, Gender, Work & Organization, and Social Science Research, among other outlets, and she is the author of Mothers at Work: Who Opts Out? Dr. Landivar is the author of numerous government reports and visualizations which have been featured in Congressional and White House briefings. Her work on employment has been covered widely in the media in outlets such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Associated Press, and Science.
