Susan Parker Appointed Joint Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Development Effectiveness

MPRC Associate Director Susan Parker has been appointed joint editor-in-chief of the Journal of Development Effectiveness, recognizing her expertise in development economics and her contributions to research on social programs in Latin America.

Parker’s research has examined the effectiveness of major anti-poverty initiatives, including Mexico’s Progresa/Opportunidades conditional cash transfer program, one of the world’s most influential approaches to poverty alleviation.

Through her new editorial role, Parker will help advance research and scholarship on policies and programs designed to improve development outcomes.
