Lifetime achievements of Partha Lahiri celebrated internationally

Partha Lahiri honored internationally for exceptional statistical research contributions

Faculty Associate Partha Lahiri has recently been honored at two international events for his exceptional research. He has worked with MPRC to support, produce, and promote high-quality population-related research in statistics. Lahiri was named an honorary member of the Polish Statistical Association, a distinction awarded to only two researchers from outside Poland, this year. Dominik Rozkrut, President of Statistics Poland and President of the International Association for Official Statistics, highlighted, “[Lahiri's] profound contributions to Small Area Estimation and Survey Methodology have not only advanced our field but have also enriched the work of both academicians and public statistics experts in Poland.” Lahiri was also celebrated at the Small Area Estimation 2024 International Conference in Lima, Peru.
