Philip Cohen discusses the opportunities of declining birth rates.

MPRC Faculty Associate Philip Cohen was featured on Vietnam Today, where he responded to reporting on declining fertility trends globally and in Vietnam.

Cohen emphasized the opportunities associated with lower birth rates: “It’s much better to take advantage of the opportunities low birth rates give us. When you have low birth rates, young adults have more time to invest in their skills and training, to pursue their careers, especially women.” He added, “If we focus on making life better, eventually birth rates will catch up.”
