Betty J. Sitka

Bio

A seasoned professional with extensive project development, community engagement, curriculum development, and fiscal management experience dedicated to non-profit organizational development in a range of cultural contexts. Betty has expansive knowledge of administrative management systems, policy development and team building. She has senior level financial management experience, including NGO cash accounting, multi-year budget development, project budgeting, federal grant expense reconciliation and preparation for A-133 audits. Additionally, Betty facilitated the establishment of two degree-granting programs at American University (AU). She previously conducted field work in Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Indonesia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. She has also directed a community development corporation in the inner city of Cleveland, managing over $3.5M in reconstruction projects and leveraging $15M of new investment into the community.
