Danielle Powell, Ph.D., Au.D.
Bio
As an audiologist and epidemiologist, Dr. Powell's interest is in understanding how we may better support older adults with hearing loss. Hearing loss is highly prevalent among older adults, with known disparities and challenges in access to hearing services for older adults, especially those with complex care needs like those with dementia. Her research interests are at the intersection of epidemiology, audiology and hearing care, gerontology, health systems and health services, and dementia care. This intersection is highly applicable and directly relevant to population study and implementation.
